High School Graduation Requirements
To obtain a high school diploma from I AM  Academy, students must demonstrate that they have successfully completed at least 24 units of high school coursework.  Students of any age 15 and up can earn a high school diploma from I AM Academy by demonstrating they have fulfilled our high school graduation requirements. This can be accomplished in several ways:

  • If your student has previously attended a public or private institution you must send in an official transcript, which should include a signature and school seal.
  • If your student has previously attended a home school program, i.e. Central Valley Christian, etc. you must send us a portfolio, documenting the student’s grades, subjects, and attendance as well as provide examples of lessons, assignments, tests, quizzes, etc.
  • No student can receive a diploma from I AM Academy without having completed a minimum of 6 units of high school work at I AM Academy, and at least the final two quadmesters at I AM Academy.

  • Students have the ability to work at their own pace throughout the school year, although it is recommended a student complete 2 units per quadmester (12 weeks) to keep pace with a 3 or 4 year graduation schedule.
  • A global language is not required, although many higher-level educational institutions require it for admission.
  • The Health and Physical Education credit requires the completion of forty (40) hours of an organized sport in addition to the completion of all online lessons in the Health course. To be awarded a complete credit for the year in the Health & Physical Education course, you must provide proof of the student's enrollment and participation in an organized sport of your choice by submitting a receipt of payment for the organized sport, class, etc. and a letter from the instructor or coach noting their participation and completion of 40 hours. Enrollment and documentation of a regimented workout at a local hearth club will also substitute for the 40 hours of a sport, as long as the student completes at least 3 hours per week over a minimum of 2 days per week (IE: 1.5 hours per day minimum).  30 minutes of brisk walking may be included in the 1.5 hours, but must be brisk walking, not mall shopping or Disneyland, etc. Lap swimming will also substitute, but not playing with friends in the backyard pool.
